Transportation Guideline

ICCR2018 will be held on the Xuhui campus of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, which is located in the downtown area of Shanghai City. The street address is, No.1954 Huashan Road, Xuhui District, Shanghai. It is very convenient to get to conference site from the airports and railway stations. Shanghai is served by two airports (Pudong International airport and Hongqiao Shanghai airport) and three primary railway stations (Hongqiao Railway Station, Shanghai Railway Station, and Shanghai South Railway Station). The following map shows the locations of these airports and the railway stations.

 


Once arriving in Shanghai, you may pick up one the following ways to reach the conference site. (1) Taxi; (2) Metro; (3)Shuttle bus.

 

From Airports:

1. Get to Xuhui Campus of SJTU by taxi
Taxis in Shanghai are plentiful and prices for the average resident are ¥14 for the first 3 kilometers and ¥18 after 11 pm. Taxis services are available 24 hours a day. A typical fare for Shanghai Pudong International Airport and Hongqiao International Airport to Shanghai Jiaotong University Xuhui Campus by taxi is about ¥180 and ¥50, respectively.

2.  Get to Xuhui Campus by Metro
You could also take Metros to the Xuhui Campus. Metro fares run from ¥3 to ¥9 one-way depending on distance.

 

From Pudong airport (Both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2):
Take the East extension section of Metro Line 2  → (Transfer at GuangLan Road Station to) Metro line 2  →  (Transfer at NanJing Road Station to) Metro line 10 → Get off at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Station. Totally 47 km and takes 1.5 hour. The cost is ¥8. If you want to try the only commercial Maglev line (¥50, 340km/h, http://www.smtdc.com/en/index.html), you may choose Maglev at Pudong airport  →  (Transfer at LongYang Road Station to) Metro line 2  → (Transfer at NanJing Road Station to) Metro line 10  → Get off at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Station.

From Hongqiao airport:
Both Terminal 2 and Terminal 1: Take Metro Line 10 → Get off at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Station. Totally 12 km and takes 28 min. The cost is ¥ 4.

3. Get to Xuhui Campus by Shuttle bus
There are convenient shuttle buses handling transfers from Pudong International Airport to the city center, including regular airport lines, a ring line and a night line. You could take the Shuttle bus at Pudong International Airport to the Xuhui Campus by line 2 and line 7.

From Terminal 1 (T1) of Hongqiao airport to the city center, three public bus lines provide regular services, namely Buses No. 806, 807 and 1207. For more specific information about the shuttle bus position and schedule of Hongqiao airport, please view the following link.

From Railway Stations:
For foreign delegates who arrive at other cities first and take trains to Shanghai and for domestic participants, the following are instructions for your ground transportation.
This city is the gathering point of many major high speed rail lines; therefore it has convenient train services for tourists to many destinations throughout China, including trains of Beijing, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Suzhou, Chengdu, Xian, Guilin, Huangshan,  and Shenzhen.
It has four main railway stations: Shanghai Railway Station, South Railway Station, West Railway Station and Hongqiao Railway Station.

Passengers can purchase tickets for trains departing from the mentioned railway stations from any railway station in the country. Remember to bring your valid certificate such as passport, as real-name ticket policy is strictly implemented.

Tip: It is better to book the tickets in advance, because there is a great possibility that they will be sold out in minutes once available.

1. From Hongqiao Railway Station
   The Hongqiao Railway Station is adjacent to the Hongqiao Airport.
   Take Metro Line 10 → Get off at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Station. Totally 12 km and takes 28 min. The cost is ¥ 4.
   Take a taxi: about 13 km, 35 min, ¥ 40.

2. From Shanghai Railway Station
   Take Metro Line 1 → Get off at the Xujiahui Station. Totally 11 km and takes 33 min. The cost is ¥ 4.
   Take a taxi: about 8 km, 30 min, ¥ 30.

3. From Shanghai South Railway Station
   Take Metro Line 1 → Get off at the Xujiahui Station. Totally 5 km and takes 21 min. The cost is ¥ 3.

   Take a taxi: about 8 km, 30 min, ¥ 26.
